I Made It!

No, it wasn't anything crafty, lol! I have really enjoyed looking at so many crafty blog sites. I really hope I can learn something from them. I'm a real "wonna-be" crafty girl. I can look at Hobby Lobby for hours and dream of all the possibilities. Hopefully, someday. But, what I did accomplish today was my trip to the dentist. I finally had the root canal done, after getting an infection and taking antibiotics. I knew I couldn't put it off any longer. I was such a nervous wreck, a really BIG baby! I felt bad when I left the house, thinking what a horrible example I was being to my boys. Anyway....at the dentist, they gave me laughing gas, and though it didn't make me laugh, it did make me feel better. (kinda) It's amazing the "far-out" feeling you can have on laughing gas. I had brought my sons mp3 player with me, and I wasn't sure how to turn it on. I was laying upside down in the dental chair and I was feverishly trying to turn the dumb thing on! I was in desperate need of hearing some "Hillsong" to rest my mind. I don't know how long it took me....felt like forever! Needless to say, I made it out of there ok. I'm so glad it's over.

Going To The Dentist

I woke up this morning with my mouth swollen. I went to the dentist a couple of weeks ago and found out I have to get a root canal. I HATE the dentist! I'm a real baby about this stuff, and I wish I wasn't so afraid. After my last visit, I scheduled an appointment to have the root canal done. Well, after some "deep thought", I cancelled the appointment, cause it's gonna cost alot of money! (really, I'm just chicken, and it's gonna cost alot of money)
But, after waking up this morning in my swollen condition, I put my foot down and decided to grow up! (I really called my husband and whined about my swollen mouth) My wonderful husband told me to reschedule my appointment and said I better keep it this time! So...that's what I did, and that's what I'm gonna do. Made the appointment for next week, and I'm gonna go get it fixed. Praying that I will put my trust in God in all things, even the dentist.

Starting Something New

I'm not sure what I'm doing, but here I go anyway. Thanks to a friend of mine, I have finally discovered the world of blogging. I've never been one to write in a diary, and I've never been good at writing myself reminder notes. So, maybe this will be a life changing experience,lol! I chose "Pink Chocolate Momma" for my blog name, mostly because it was taking forever to think of anything I liked. I think I spent 30 min. just thinking of a name......sad, but true. My 13 yr. old son came in while I was in deep thought over this process, and I shared with him my name ideas. Thinking out loud, I said, "I love the color pink, I love chocolate, and I'm a mom." Since it was the only name my son didn't laugh at, I figured this was a good place to start.

I'm happily married to my bestest friend since childhood. (I'm talking about since the age of 4) And we have two boys ages 13 and 15. I'm sure I will be writing about them lots more later. We'll have to wait and see.............
